Transferable skills are versatile, portable abilities that you can take from one job or industry to another. They are foundational, soft, and practical skills that are not tied to a single specific profession and remain valuable across diverse roles.
After graduating on June 15, 2025, like every graduate in my class that day, we all looked for that one job in our field. But even after applying jobs day and night, no luck (˙◠˙). So, I couldn’t just sit still waiting for the right job to come. I needed to get through the day, so I did what was available.
I was already doing part-time jobs during university different areas from my studies, so I started working full-time. Later, it came to me that all these jobs were not just paying me; I was also gaining skills that can be used in the CS field in data analysis role or i am only saying this because I don't want to mention that "I don't have job experience yet" this whole page (¬_¬).
Through these jobs, I gained a range of transferable skills, try feeding those skills to my brain!

Worked across major venues, corporate events, restaurants, and hospitality environments throughout London. Regularly collaborated with large teams to deliver exceptional customer service under tight deadlines and high-pressure conditions.
Currently working as a Restaurant Associate within a busy professional environment, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational standards, and supporting team performance.
Worked across multiple warehouse operations performing inventory management, order fulfilment, scanning, picking, packing, and stock control activities. Accuracy and efficiency were critical to maintaining smooth warehouse operations.
Worked in luxury hotels, restaurants, and retail environments, including roles with Reiss and corporate hospitality venues such as Citadel. Delivered excellent customer experiences while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service.
Completed freelance projects involving online research, data collection, market research, report preparation, and information analysis for clients worldwide. This role strengthened my ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results while meeting deadlines.
